In Mexico, our banking provider requires all users to have their CURP (Unique Population Registry Key) registered in order to carry out transactions with Mexican pesos (MXN). If you don’t have a CURP, you can only use your Bitso account to send, receive, and trade cryptocurrencies.

I am a Mexican resident

If you live in Mexico and don’t have a CURP, we advise you to apply for an immigration visa by visiting the Mexican immigration office, INM (National Institute of Immigration). Once, you get your visa card (temporary or permanent), it will include your CURP number.

You won’t be able to make deposits and withdrawals in Mexican pesos (MXN) on Bitso until you have your CURP.

I live in another country

Thank you for your interest in Bitso. Currently, we only operate in Mexico and Argentina. However, if you live outside those two countries, you are able to use Bitso to send, receive, and trade cryptocurrencies. It is important to activate this option on your account. Please click the following link: Click here

You can make unlimited deposits in cryptocurrencies and withdrawals of up to approximately $1,200 per month (in cryptocurrencies).

I am visiting or passing through Mexico

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make deposits or withdrawals in Mexican pesos (MXN). If you’ve already opened your Bitso account and selected Mexico as your country of residence, please raise a support ticket to help you with the change of residence. Click here. In Request Type select: Data update> Country of residence

Important: There are some countries where we do not provide service because they are considered a prohibited jurisdiction. You can see the list of these countries at the end of the following link: Click here. In that case you will not be able to use your Bitso account.
