Bitso Shift has partnered with Circle’s Group, a registered money transmitter, to help you send and receive USD wire transfers from third parties.
If you want to know how to send wires, visit How to send wires from Bitso Shift.
If you want to know how to receive wires, visit How to receive a deposit in Bitso Shift.
Bitso Shift allows you to send and receive domestic wires as if you had a US-based bank account. However, it is still an international transaction (except it is cheaper and faster!). For those reasons and to comply with regulations, Bitso Shift needs to know the account you will be interacting with.
You can only receive or send funds if you previously authorized the USD account in Bitso Shift. Read the following instructions and learn how to do it.
How to authorize an account
Authorizing an account is easy and fast. You can authorize any US-based account.
You only need to follow this process once for each account you want to authorize. After the account authorization is completed, you will be able to send and receive funds as many times as you want from each authorized account.
Whether you want to deposit or send, you will need to authorize an account and complete all the fields with the account information. Before you do so, ask the sender or receiver to provide you all the following details:
Person or company name: Full name of the person or company that owns the account you want to authorize.
Account number: 10 to 12 digit number that identifies the account you want to authorize.
Routing number: 9 digit number that identifies the bank.
Account address line 1: Street name and number of the person or company who owns the account.
Account address line 2: Optional field to add apartment, suite, floor, or other secondary address information.
City: City where the account was registered.
Zipcode: Zipcode from where the account was registered.
State: State of the person or company who owns the account.
Contact email: Email of the person or company who owns the account. Bitso Shift will use this email to send updates about the transactions.
Bank name: Bank name that belongs to the account you want to authorize.
How to delete an authorized account
Currently, it is not possible to edit the account details. So, in case you enter some incorrect information, you can delete the account and authorize it again.
Select “Send” or “Deposit”.
Select the account you want to delete and then “Details”.
You are done!
